Many people get referred to me immediately following a crisis from hospitals, rape crisis teams, grief counselors, Victim Services agencies, friends.
If you have had the very unfortunate experience of having been victimized in any way, or have suffered a tragedy in the very recent past, please call. State that your situation is urgent. I will make returning your call a top priority. I will then give you an appointment right away.
If, however, you are hurt, injured, or experiencing any urgent psychiatric symptoms, such as persistent panic, flashbacks, disorientation, or suicidal thoughts, it is important to call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can bring my number along and tell the doctors that there is a therapist that you would like to make an appointment with after you leave the hospital. They may be able to help you call me to set that up.
